Malto is a company specializing in the design of high-end beer refrigerators. Their goal is to leverage their expertise in refrigeration and hospitality to bring a professional-grade experience directly into the home. The company focuses on the quality of its products and exceptional customer service to deliver a complete and seamless experience to its clients.

The objective of the redesign was to fully rethink the website’s visual universe to better reflect the brand’s positioning and its products, while also simplifying the purchasing process. The new website was built on Shopify, allowing Malto to benefit from a robust ecosystem, optimized performance, and simplified management for their team.

The Direction

The strategic intent was to reposition the offering beyond the product itself. While keg refrigerators are technical by nature, their true value lies in the experience they make possible.

By highlighting a lifestyle-driven brand universe as moments of connection, atmosphere, and the joy of hosting, the approach brings warmth to a category that is, at its core, functional and visually cold. This allows for a stronger emotional connection with the user, helping them envision what Malto enables them to experience, rather than simply understand what they are buying.

This direction also reinforces the brand’s premium positioning by moving away from a purely transactional logic and toward a more immersive experience, aligned with the quality of both the product and the service.

The Website

The website is built on Shopify, a reliable, fast, and easy-to-maintain platform that streamlines the sale of Malto products.

The animations are subtle and intentional. They enhance the experience without overwhelming it with smooth transitions, discreet reveals, and micro-interactions. They all contribute to reinforcing the brand’s premium feel.

Overall, the experience is designed to be fast, intuitive, and accessible. The structure highlights the Malto universe, giving equal importance to both the brand experience and the products themselves.
